Signpost Volunteers

 

 

WHO ARE WE? WHAT DO WE DO? HOW CAN WE HELP?

 

Bedford Mencap Signpost Volunteers are all parents or carers of young people and adults with learning disabilities. We are not professional but what we can offer is our own personal experience, often having used services ourselves.

 

We are trained to listen and to give support and information to anyone with learning disabilities and their family and carers. Signpost Volunteers provide free information and advice on organisations and services available to people with learning disabilities, information on benefits, and help with forms and letters.

 

We also hold an informal coffee morning once a month.
